You should send your carbon offset certificate to: carbonoffset@eudevdays.eu
Please make sure to clearly identify your sessions and/or stand by providing in the same e-mail the following info:

• Name of the lead organisation.
• Name and e-mail of the focal point.
• Name of the sessions and/or stand
• ID of your application (this info can be found by logging into the EDD website, clicking ‘your profile’ and visiting your dashboard)

How many tonnes should I offset?

It depends on which sessions or stands you are organising.
For sessions:

• High-Level Panels: 40 tonnes
• Lab Debates: 25 tonnes
• Project or Report Presentations: 25 tonnes
• Brainstorming sessions: 25 tonnes
• Agora sessions: 20 tonnes

For stand:

• Standard booth: 6 tonnes
• Regular stand: 10 tonnes
• Large stand: 20 tonnes
• Cluster: 40 tonnes
• Online-only stand: 3 tonnes

I have applied for a stand. When will I be informed as to whether my stand was selected?

You will be informed as to whether your stand was selected by early May.

What measures are in place to ensure safety and the respect of COVID-19 regulations during the event?

If I have registered to attend the onsite event, but can’t join for unexpected health reasons, can I still attend the event online?

Yes. Everyone who has registered for the onsite event will be automatically granted access to the online event.

Will I be able to follow all the sessions online?

This year the event will be hybrid so most of the sessions will also be available online.

Please note that the following sessions will not be streamed, and will only be available for the onsite audience:

• Agora sessions
• Brainstorming sessions

Do I need to register to take part online?

Yes, registration is required to participate online.

Who can take part?

Professionals from organisations, institutions and companies from any country can take part in the EDD.

How can I take part as a speaker?

Once the programme is announced and published on the website (early May), the web page of each session will provide the contact details of the session’s organiser. You can contact them directly to suggest a speaker.

You can also send an e-mail to programme@eudevdays.eu and we will assess your request. Please mention clearly which panel your organisation wants to participate in as well as the job title of the potential speaker.

Can I receive a certificate of attendance?

A certificate of attendance is only provided for those taking part in the EDD Young Leaders Programme.

How can I register to attend the EDD?

To register, you need to create or log into your EDD account and fill in the online form.

Can I register to attend the event without having an account on the EDD website?

No, creating an account on the EDD website is mandatory to register for the EDD.

I’m a journalist. How can I apply for accreditation?

To apply for media accreditation, please fill in the media accreditation online form, available in the dashboard once you have logged into your EDD account. If you need further info, do not hesitate to contact our press team directly at press@eudevdays.eu.

Until when can I register to attend the event onsite?

Registration is open until 6 June 23:59 CEST.

When will the programme be announced?

The programme will be announced at the beginning of May.

How will I know if my session has been accepted or not?

The EDD programme team will send out an email to every lead organisation that made a submission to inform them of the results.

My session has been accepted, what happens next?

There will be a second series of (online) community meetings arranged per EDD theme towards the end of May, during which all the practical information related to your session will be discussed. This will include the deadlines for sending in polls and speaker materials. Organisations with sessions on the final programme will receive all the details about these meetings (dates, timings and how to join) via email.

I have submitted a proposal for organising a session. When will the results be announced?

The results will be announced at the beginning of May.

Will the European Commission pay for me to attend the EDD?

Travel and accommodation are provided for those selected to take part as EDD Young Leaders. All other participants need to fund their own participation.

This year the EDD will be held at Brussels Expo, Pl. de Belgique 1, B-1020 Brussels.

What are the opening hours of the venue?

The opening hours of the venue are:

• 21 June 2022 from 08:00 to 20:00
• 22 June 2022 from 08:00 to 18:30

How do I reach the venue?

Brussels Expo is easily reachable by public transportation and by car. The closest station is Heysel/Heizel, which can be reached by metro, tram and bus.

• By metro: take Metro Line 6 towards Roi Baudouin and get off at the ‘Heysel’ stop.
• By tram: take Tram 7 and get off at ‘Heysel,’ which is the terminus. You can also take Tramline 9 stop ‘Stade Roi Baudouin’ or Tramline 3 stop ‘Avenue de Meysse,’ both of which are nearby.
• • By bus: take Bus 83 and get off at the ‘Heysel’ stop.
