Project Management for Sustainable Development: Creating successful partnerships

Thursday, June 16, 2016 - 11:00 to 12:15

How can global partnerships follow a sustainable agenda when their working realities and strategic objectives differ? How can these partnerships create real benefits for local people? Without a joint project management methodology partnership, public and private sector approaches are prone to fail. Together with our partners, we show how Project Management for Sustainable Development (PM4SD) can help create partnerships with a sustainable agenda.

Sustainable consumption and production as well as inclusive growth play an important role in the lead up to the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017. This session showcases examples from natural and cultural attractions in developing countries, demonstrating the need for successful partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
