The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are entering into the implementation phase, which requires a number of actions, including developing action plans, monitoring and engagement. The involvement of all stakeholders of the quadruple helix (the public and private sectors, academia and civil society), together with citizens, is crucial. Raising awareness and creating engagement for development is essential.

The LADDER project is an example of good practice. It demonstrates that local authorities and civil society working at local level act as multipliers and can create change to improve the life of citizens. This session will address the implementation of the SDGs from a local perspective using a multistakeholder approach, engaging all relevant actors and discussing opportunities and challenges.
