project
S3
Thursday, June 8, 2017 - 10:45 to 12:00
This lab will present an EU-funded Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon project that increases youth, communities' and state resilience; and the capacity to deal with hazards, including violent conflict. It will discuss how community and youth interact together in a fragile context, how sport can be used to work within and across communities, address intra and inter-community dynamics; the roles of civil society, youth and other local actors, such as parents, municipalities and the army. We will outline our theory of change and how resilience programming is measured and evidenced and share the story of the coaches and young peoples' personal learning journey. This will be followed by a question and answer session on resilience’s relevance to violent conflict.
