Education Under Attack, the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack’s flagship publication, examines attacks on education globally. The 2018 edition, produced with support from the Education Above All Foundation and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shows worsening violence against students, educators, schools, and universities, and profiles 28 countries with at least 20 attacks in the last five years. This expert panel 'Lab' will examine trends in attacks, and GCPEA’s recent case-study on Nigeria, based on over 160 interviews with girls and women. GCPEA’s research highlights the consequences of attacks on education and military use of schools, particularly for females, stressing that safe education is an enabling human right, fundamental to key development goals.
