A clear synergy can be highlighted between the project and the European Union's neighbourhood policy approach for increased support to partners committed to deepening democracy, developing a sustainable and inclusive economy and a closer partnership with the people and civil society.
The Maghreb countries, with their continued high economic development and population growth rates, will experience a significant increase in transport activities. Tunisia has a great potential to install innovative and sustainable solutions, co-constructed with the citizens, which can also be a source of opportunities for their national economies.
