energypedia – connecting knowledge and people

Online platform for collaborative knowledge exchange on renewable energy, energy access, and energy efficiency in developing countries

Worldwide, 770 million people lack access to electricity, while 2.6 billion people don’t have access to clean cooking energy. First-hand knowledge on modern and sustainable energy solutions often only exists locally or in fragments and is difficult for individuals to access. There is a great need to expand the diffusion of sustainable energy technologies in developing countries through knowledge exchange and collaboration. Energypedia addresses this challenge by providing a nonprofit online platform where practitioners from all over the world can access and share information and expertise.
