Worldwide, 770 million people lack access to electricity, while 2.6 billion people don’t have access to clean cooking energy. First-hand knowledge on modern and sustainable energy solutions often only exists locally or in fragments and is difficult for individuals to access. There is a great need to expand the diffusion of sustainable energy technologies in developing countries through knowledge exchange and collaboration. Energypedia addresses this challenge by providing a nonprofit online platform where practitioners from all over the world can access and share information and expertise.
