The first step towards a green economy is a conversation.
In 2019, the EU Delegation to Georgia and the Georgian Government ran a large-scale awareness raising campaign, challenging citizens to consider simple ways of reducing waste.
The response surpassed expectations. Over 500 people took part in two public fora, and a social media challenge brought in the national rugby team, president, officials, TV personalities, and concerned citizens. National TV picked up the topic and over 10,000 visitors of Europe Day events took part in waste minimisation activities.
