The world needs trillions of investments to reach the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While kids are demonstrating, financial institutions are increasingly decisive to shift capital into sustainable assets. However there is a long way and ambitions need to be translated into actions.

With its Action Plan on Sustainable Finance, the European Commission has taken a bold step to translate sustainability ambitions into actions. The “International Platform on Sustainable Finance” (IPFS) is the international outreach vehicle of the EU to coordinate joint actions to deliver a global green finance deal.

This event will…

  • present the EU’s sustainable finance ambition for international cooperation
  • showcase emerging market pioneers
  • demonstrate financial industry actions
