Working with Nature to Reduce Disaster Risk and Adapt to Climate Change

Increase community’s resilience and reduce disaster risks through ecosystem-based solutions.

Wetlands are vital to nature and people yet we are losing them 3 x as fast as rainforests. Their loss underpins myriad social and environmental issues: flooding, coastal erosion, subsidence, drought and increased competition for natural resources. With the spotlight in 2020 on the crises of climate and biodiversity and the choices the world must make, Wetlands International, PEDRR and Partners for Resilience set out a vision for thriving wetlands supporting livelihoods, food and water availability and helping preventing disaster
