Why Climate Actions Matter

From Diplomacy to Security

Extreme weather phenomena such as hurricanes, wildfires, floods and droughts are now the new normal. As climate change dries up rivers, shrinks harvests and destroys critical infrastructure, it amplifies the risks of conflict and can be a “crisis multiplier” with profound implications for peace and security. The European External Action Service together with the EU Satellite Centre will present initiatives from around the world showing the EU’s commitment to tackle the global climate challenges. Projects covering topics related to Water and Climate Diplomacy, international cooperation, sustainability and geospatial analysis, will show how the EU is making a difference in the resilience, security and prosperity of us all.
