Sustainable solutions to making nutritious foods more available for all

Food fortification - Builds bodies, feeds minds, saves lives.

Globally, 2 billion people suffer from deficiencies in essential vitamins and minerals leaving them vulnerable to infectious disease, impaired physical and mental development, and increased risk of premature death. The vitamin and mineral content of foods is decreasing, with rising levels of C02. Food fortification is a proven strategy to enhance the nutritional value of food.  
Our project supports the EC and its stakeholders to achieve sustainable food fortification programmes. Eight pilot projects will be presented together with learnings from midterm reviews and information on types of food fortification.
