Description: Nature provides essential goods and services for development, such as carbon sequestration, water provision or the buffering of climate impacts. The conservation and management of ecosystems, but also the restoration of degraded areas is fundamental to secure “Nature-based Solutions” for manifold societal challenges. The recently published regional report for Latin America and the Caribbean “Larger than Jaguars” (by EU), identifies six thematic priority areas that need to be considered in policy, planning and decision-making processes. After a short videoclip on the report, EUROCLIMA+ projects in nine different countries illustrate how these priority areas can be addressed together with local partners on the ground.
