Serious games to solve serious forest problems

Serious game bring real life issues to the universe of gaming, as a way to address the ecological and social challenges. Through playing, participants explore alternative scenarios to adress a complex problem like palm oil production. This exploration fosters communication amongst participants and inspire them to transform their strategies/decision making in the real world.

Whatever we try to stop deforestation and restore forests, it is not working. We need new forms of decision-making and collective action. We need a game changer. Through games and facilitation, is it possible for people, companies and governments to find new ways to solve problems. The method has been tested and  proven successful. We invite leaders, women and men, CEOs, opinion leaders, thinkers and activists that have all taken a stand on critical social and environmental issues to play our serious game in order to find solutions! They will rethink the global forest governance using our game and design thinking methods. We want to them to bring the proposals that will stem from these discussions to the upcoming UN COP on climate change and biodiversity, thus contributing to the post-2020 global biodiversity framework.
