Securing Wildlife cross-border biodiversity hotspots in Africa

Combatting wildlife crime and human-wildlife conflict through community participation in trans-boundary conservation areas.

Different elements of law enforcement (information, intelligence, undercover operations, community participation and engagement) must be combined and interlinked to achieve successful wildlife and human security in our programs in trans-boundary areas of Uganda & DRC, Kenya & Tanzania and Malawi & Zambia.

Appropriately investing in community capacity, rather than solely technological alternatives, is not only the most rewarding means of intelligence gathering at the landscape level, it is also an important income generating and livelihood improvement activity.
