Safe return to home for the Central African Internally Displaced Persons

Showcasing community-integrated approaches that benefit the IDPs, strengthen the communities and reinforce the peace building process.

Reconciliation and social cohesion constitute a cornerstone for the peace building process in the Central African Republic (CAR). Almost 6 years after the crisis that devastated the country, more than 656,000 people remain internally displaced, while another 593,000 have sought refuge in the neighbouring countries.

 

The Trust Fund Bêkou projects presented support both the IDPs and the host communities, while promoting dialogue and mutual understanding. Equal chances for everyone mean that no one is left behind in the new chapter of the country.
