Getting to 2030: Bridging the digital divide in an inclusive and sustainable way

CIFAL Flanders' session will discuss the challenges and opportunities of bridging the digital divide in an inclusive, sustainable way and will be structured around the following activities.

  •  An inspirational debate about the digital divide in a globalising world.
  •  The presentation of four best practices that aim to bridge the digital divide both on a local and global scale: Close the Gap, Lie Detectors, MolenGeek and Hack Your Future.
  •  A holistic Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) assessment of these initiatives through a multistakeholder brainstorming session based on CIFAL Flanders’ Action Learning Methodology.
  •  The session will conclude with lessons-learned and recommendations for digital divide projects to combat inequalities in an inclusive way and become SDG-proof.
