Blockchain technology, a new tool made available during today's fourth industrial revolution, is a paradigm shift to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Blockchain is a strategy for traditional actors to leapfrog years of capacity building and deliver efficient services to support the private sector. This innovative technology has a strong value proposition to create more inclusive and sustainable growth in society. Participants will explore how blockchain technology could support private sector development initiatives. They will be able to better understand the risks and opportunities to use this tool to promote financial inclusion and sustainable value chains. An example is the garment sector where different opportunities have already been already launched.
