18:45 to 20:00

The EU’s Latin America and Caribbean Investment facilities together with its financial partners will present five projects that are helping to combat inequalities in the region and reach the most vulnerable populations. One of these projects is the Investment Grant and Technical Assistance for the Integrated Waste Management Programme in Jujuy, Argentina, developed in partnership with the European Investment Bank. This project is combating inequalities through providing the necessary equipment for sustainable solid waste management, while formalising and dignifying the labour status of waste pickers. Participants will discuss lessons learned, as well as challenges and opportunities for new investments in the region.
